Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga focuses on stillness and emphasizes longer deeper stretching of the tissues that surround your joints. Unlike Hatha yoga where you flow from posture to posture in Yin we hold a pose for 3-5 minutes. You hold these poses with the support of bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and sometimes the wall. In your Yin class you focus on stretching the deeper connective tissues of the fascia. Helping to alleviate tightness in and around the joints of the body. This quiet passive practice can be very meditative, helping participants to tune out the busy- ness of life and tune into the quiet wisdom within. You will leave this class feeling more balanced and at ease within the body and mind.
